This is the nail design we are going to do today...
I don't wear gold that often; I like silver, but these turned out nice. The color is called Hayden by Julep Maven and it's a peach colored creme polish. I like how it went on a lot better than the last polish I tried by Julep Maven. It went on smooth, although the first coat was a little streaky.
To get this look first you put on the base coat and a coat of clear polish so that the moons will be shiney. When that is dry you put the guides on every finger but the ringer finger.
Polish two coats of the peach polish from the guides to the free edge...
...and two coats of gold polish on the ring finger.
Take the guides off and with a gold stiper, or gold paint and a stiping brush, paint gold strips along the edge of the peach color. It is a simple design. I had never used a striper with my left hand before and it went well, so if you want to I think you can do it!
I used OPI's Original Nail Envy as a base coat and their Top Coat. I also used Orly's Clear, OPI's Bling Dynasty, Julep Maven's Hayden, and Pecision's stiper Gold Rush. I also used Nailene's French Polish Guides (not pictured).
For a primarily gold design I think it's rather pretty.
