Guest Post - Essie Rae
Hello Everyone! I am Essie Rae and I live over at www.iHeartPrettyPolish.com.
I would like to thank Lisa for presenting me with the opportunity to
do a guest post on her blog. Lisa and I started blogging around the
same time and I have enjoyed watching her blog grow.
It was hard to decide which polish I would use for
this guest post. I have been loving indie polishes lately, but I still
have a love for OPI, Zoya, Essie, and various drugstore brands. I
finally decided that I would show you one of my all-time favorites (and
easy to find) polishes - Ulta "Moody Blues".
Not
only is the formula of this polish perfect, but the color is a gorgeous
true blue. Many may shy away from blue nail polish, but I feel this
blue isn't as in-your-face BLUE as lots of others on the market. It's
on the darker side - it's almost navy blue, but it's not so dark that it
looks black.
I
have a bunch of Ulta nail polishes and I have enjoyed every single one.
The formula is always opaque in one or two coats and the brush is a
perfect size. When friends ask for recommendations and don't want to
spend an arm and a leg on a color that they aren't too sure about, I
always direct them to the Ulta polishes. These polishes are usually on
sale for 2 for $6 or buy 1 get 1 free and they have so many cool/unique
shades and finishes. So if you aren't sure about trying a unique or
bold shade, ease into it with an Ulta nail polish.

Guest Post - Alexis Leigh
Hi everyone! My name is Alexis and I have a nail and beauty blog over at http://xoxoalexisleigh.I love nail art, it's just something I'm very passionate about but I'm not the best at it and sometimes I just don't have the time, energy, or patience to sit down and do it. Drip nails are some of the easiest nail art techniques in my opinion and I think they look pretty sweet too! I also have an obsession with galaxy nails but right now I feel like galaxy drips (although totally amazing) are a little overdone. So, I ended up just painting stars on my drips and adding holo glitter.
I used a LVX - Legendaire as my base, Ulta - Wild Night for my drips (which I freehanded on with a striper), a MASH nail art pen in silver for the starts, WingDustCollections - Dancing Queen for the holo top coat, and 2 coats of Cult Nails - Wicked Fast to seal the design.
I hope you guys liked this as much as I did! How do you feel about drip nails? Thanks again Lisa and all of you for having me!!!!

Hi Lovelies! This is Stephanie from http://alittlepolish.blogspot.com.
I was flattered when Lisa asked me to share my love of nails and creative manicure’s
with her readers!
I wasn’t sure what type of manicure I wanted to share on Lisa’s page, since it is the Holiday season and there are a lot of holiday themed mani’s going around. I wanted to stick with something that could be cute for not only this season, but year round, so here we have my Watercolor Wonderland Manicure. :)

Watercolor manicure’s are very easy to do since there is no
right or wrong; just dab on drops of color over your base coat and dabble a little nail polish remover on top to
“watercolor” it together. I love intricate looks that are easy to create.
I hope that you enjoyed this post and photos, and once again
Thanks Lisa for having me as a guest blogger!

Guest Post - Crystal of Crystal's Crazy Combos
Hello Everyone!! I am Crystal from Crystal's Crazy Combos!! Lisa was so kind as to contact me to see if I might be able to do a guest post!! I am so honored and excited to be here! It is lovely to "meet" all of Lisa's readers :-)
If you know me, you'll know that I love tape manis!! So today I have a fun tape mani that is Spring themed! I picked 5 different colors and did a skittles mani to start. From thumb to pinky, I used OPI Mod About You, Zoya Marley, OPI What's With The Cattitude?, OPI Gargantuan Green Grape, and Cult Nails Feel Me Up. Each color was two coats, except Gargantuan Green Grape needed three. I then topped with Seche Vite to help with drying time and to make sure the tape didn't mess up any nails! I buy my OPI from Ulta Beauty stores, Zoya from www.Zoya.com, and Cult Nails from www.shop.cultnails.com.
When starting a tape mani, I usually take the pieces of tape and apply them to my palm to remove a bit of the stickiness. Then, I position the tape for one nail at an angle and apply my additional color. I quickly remove the tape, being careful to not smudge anything!! And continue for each nail. For this mani, I used Cirque XX, which can be bought at www.cirquecolors.com. XX contains beautiful pastel glitter in multiple colors that sparkles holographically! There is also a fine shimmer through the base. I love how the glitter compliments the base colors!
This is my first time using Cirque polishes and I am extremely impressed! The glitter applied perfectly and dried quickly. I applied Wicked Fast top coat by Cult Nails (my favorite top coat) to finish the mani! What do you think!? I had a couple friends say it reminded them of the mini Cadbury chocolate eggs for Easter! Those are my favorite candies too! hehe
I hope you enjoyed this tape mani!! Thank you so much to Lisa for having me here today. I'm so glad to be able to share this with you!!
Have a fantastic day!!
Much Love,
Crystal

Guest Post - Emily Corriveau
Hi readers! My name is Emily and I am the writer of Embellished Nails located at www.emilysnails.com.
A few weeks ago, Lisa wrote to me and asked me to do a guest blog for
her. I was overjoyed! This is my first time guest blogging.
At the moment, my own blog is semi-inactive due to my very busy schedule. I still paint my nails all the time- I can just never find the time to post my manicures. I’m student teaching in a preschool classroom, which takes up a ton of my time both in school and out of school!
Today I’m showing you a manicure I did especially for this post! I wanted to do something summery… I live in New England and I am SO OVER the winter! I hate being cold and I hate wearing layers… therefore Massachusetts is not the state for me. I usually enjoy wearing dark, vampy shades during this time of year but I’ve been totally rebelling against that unwritten rule, wearing bright shades nearly daily. I guess this is my body’s way of inconspicuously rejecting the cold…
One of my favorite manicures to do is the “gradient.” Gradient manicures are a fun and easy way to make your nails stand out. For those of you that have never tried a gradient manicure, what are you waiting for?! It’s super easy. I follow this tutorial by The Nailasaurus. Normally my manicures never come out like the tutorial shows, but this is one that actually successfully follows through!
I started by using two coats of OPI You’re Such A Budapest as my base (that’s the light purple). Then, using a triangular makeup sponge, I used Funky Fingers Cheshire and the same purple OPI to sponge on my gradient. I had to sponge on the gradient twice because it wasn’t dark enough the first time around. On my accent finger, I used a coat of China Glaze Luxe and Lush.
Have you ever tried a gradient manicure? Which color combinations are your favorite!? I’m always looking for new ways to wear this mani.
A big thanks goes out to Lisa for hosting my guest post! I love your blog and am honored to be able to share one of my manicures with your readers!
Until next time,
Emily
